Tungsten carbide is the second hardest material in the world. It is almost as hard as diamond. Turning tools made from this material hardly wear down. Tungsten carbide is not a metal but a compound of tungsten and carbon. It is very sharp, which makes turning smooth and truly a pleasure.
The turning loop is mounted in an oiled ash wood handle with a quality brass connection. The brass runs far into the wooden handle, making the turning loop very well-balanced in the hand. The tools are made in Belgium in collaboration with a customized workshop company.
Attention: Tungsten carbide is extremely hard but brittle. Do not drop the tools or bump them hard against anything, as they can break! Always place your tool in a safe spot so it doesn't accidentally fall off your turntable. If you handle it with care, such a tool can last a lifetime!
Let op: wolfraamcarbide is extreem hard maar bros. Laat de tools niet vallen of stoot nergens hard tegenaan, dan kunnen ze breken! Leg je tool altijd op een veilige plek zodat die niet per ongeluk af je draaitafel valt. Als je er voorzichtig mee omspringt kan zo’n tool mee voor het leven!
